The general meeting (congress) of the Transport Union of Russia was held on 5 July 2012. Its main question was legislative support for the competitiveness of transport companies and organisations following Russia’s accession to the WTO and the Common Economic Space.
The congress heard a report by E. S. Moskvichev, chairman of the State Duma transport committee, on the committee’s legislative work, and a report by A. P. Zarubin, deputy director of Roads of Russia at the Federal Road Agency of the Ministry of Transport.
The Transport Union of the North-West was represented at the congress by its first vice-president and director general, Leonid Sergeevich Krasnikov.
